Business History & Entity

Our History in Wagga Wagga

Spark Workbase Pty Ltd was officially established in 2019 by market technician Oliver Bennett. Having spent over a decade analyzing Australian equity markets (ASX), agricultural commodity forward contracts, and foreign exchange currency pairs, Oliver observed that the vast majority of retail educational resources were dominated by get-rich-quick marketing, black-box trading bots, and misleading indicator promises.

Spark Workbase was built as a deliberate counterweight: a dedicated physical charting studio and learning laboratory in Wagga Wagga, NSW, where students learn the foundational craft of classical Japanese candlestick reading, multi-timeframe structural mapping, and mathematical risk management.

Over the past seven years, we have trained hundreds of private traders, family office analysts, regional agricultural producers hedging commodity exposure, and self-managed super fund (SMSF) trustees across New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, and the ACT.

Our Principles

The Spark Workbase Philosophy

We adhere to a strict pedagogical standard designed to foster self-reliance and intellectual honesty.

1. Price Action Over Indicators

Indicators are mathematical derivatives of price and volume that inherently lag the market. We teach students to read raw candlesticks, order absorption wicks, and structural swing points first.

2. Invalidation Precedes Entry

Before considering how much a trade could return, a technician must define the exact price tick at which their hypothesis is proven wrong. Risk control is non-negotiable.

3. Small Cohorts & Direct Mentorship

We deliberately cap our live masterclass cohorts to 8 participants. This guarantees that Oliver Bennett directly reviews every student's trade journal and chart markups.

Lead Instructor

Meet Oliver Bennett

Oliver Bennett has studied and traded global financial markets for over fifteen years. Based in the Riverina region of NSW, Oliver's background bridges classical technical analysis literature (from Charles Dow and Richard Wyckoff to Steve Nison's pioneering candlestick work) with practical execution realities.

Oliver holds a rigorous, empirical approach to technical analysis. In his classes, students do not memorize abstract pattern names; they learn to visualize the battle between liquidity providers, institutional accumulators, and trapped momentum traders.
